Quarry & Heavy Industry First Aid Training

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 state that employers shall ensure there are suitably trained persons to render first aid appropriate for their circumstances.

In quarries and heavy industries, workplace hazards can be high; leading to a higher risk of more catastrophic injuries. The standard First Aid at work course does not cover specialist injuries.

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 Guidance state that additional training should be provided to first aiders to deal with injuries resulting from special hazards and employers need to be confident that the first aid training provider will deliver training with appropriate content to their needs.
